When to vote

There are 3 easy ways to vote:

  • In advance from October 10th - 13th, 15th - 16th

Where to vote

BC Building Trades Council includes your union. We are working together to facilitate trade workers' participation in the 2024 BC Elections. BCBT will only use your email to send you your vote plan and will not retain any personal data after the election

How to vote

Voter ID requirements

There are 3 ways to identify yourself to vote at any polling station in BC:

  1. Show one of these pieces of ID:

    • BC driver's licence
    • BC Identification Card (BCID)
    • BC Services Card (with photo)
    • Any card issued by the B.C. or Canadian Government that shows your name, photo and address
    • A Certificate of Indian Status

  2. Show any two pieces of ID or documents where both show your name, and one shows your current address. Some examples include:

    • BC CareCard
    • Birth certificate
    • Social Insurance Number Card
    • Passport
    • Bank/credit card or statement
    • Provincial Where to Vote card

  3. Have another person vouch for your identity. The voucher must be any one of the below:

    • a registered voter resident in the voter’s electoral district
    • a spouse, parent, grandparent, adult child, adult grandchild or adult sibling of the voter
    • a person with the authority to make personal care decisions for the voter.
